The 2nd one is wrong (I'm from Student Welfare!)! Yeah I rock! The games were quite fun too! They were based on the different elements, water, air, fire, earth, wood, darkness... Yup so they would add up to see which tribe did the best in which 2 elements! Oh yeah there are 4 tribes, Lula, Eke, Aldrea and Dyaru (sth like tat...). The prizes for each element won: Eke got water and earth, which meant that we could bathe first and did not have to clear up! Good choice of winning I guess, even though it was unintentional. But I really must appluad my seniors for helping out still despite the fact that there were exempted from cleaning-up.
I LOVE the Night Games. The powerpoint introduction for the game was super scary. I think it was the effect of the music - it was SPOOKY! But I had never be so scared till I had to grab Jia Xin's hand! I mean watching horror movies ain't that bad... Whoever created that PPT succeeded in scaring me.... Anyway everyone had a coloured tail of their tribe attached to them and their leaders had 3 tails. We were supposed to go around looking for our tribe coloured lightsticks, steal the tails of others and defend our own tails. Our leader must be well-hidden if not once his or her tails are all gone, we are all out of the game! I love the anticipation behind the game, wondering if I would be caught!!! Went to sleep at about 1 plus but was woken up at around 3 plus for NightWalk.
Second day was super fun! Street Chase rocks! Even though my team comprised of only year 2s, our group finished all the stations first and managed to complete 2 extra roadblocks! Yeah!!! We rock!!! Haha anyway it was quite fun 'cos my team members were funny and easy-going! Tasks that we were required to do were like doing the SC Dance in Raffles Place, doing 10 pumping at a shopping centre etc. We all headed to the train station close to evening where we boarded the train at about 6 plus. Our cabin was the last and I had a hard time walking from one end of the train to another. The train was clean and the toilets were not bad but we had no bunks and had to sleep on the chairs! Arhhh! We arrived at around 3 plus in the morning at Kuala Lipis. Due to the heavy rain I was pratically freezing! Thank Jia Hui for lending me here jacket! :D I think the EXCO was very considerate and nice to lend their jackets around and I'm sure everyone appreciated it! Thanks!!!
Had a buffet-style breakfast that morning... Not bad :) and then we set off for our white-water rafting. Actually the waters weren't at all white but... Anyway we started with building the rafts ourselves using bamboo poles, tyres and hard rope... Not easy but we have scouts and guides with us to help out so not too bad! We started out with a water confidence test before having races between tribes. First up was marathon, followed by tug-of-war! So fun! It was during this time that my ever worried mother called Miss Chua... Thanks Ms Chua for lending me the usage of your phone!
For the next day we set off for our trekking and camping activity.. We had to take the four-by-four truck up to the mountains and the ride was fun, though most uncomfortable! The trekking was a bit tiring but I'm glad that I managed to see so many things like spiders and snakes without eyes, thousands of bats, plants that turn blue under strong direct light. But the sad thing was that a leech got me... Yup yup suck my blood! But I guess I can myself lucky 'cos my leech still looked small, which means that it didn't suck much blood. Poor Ting Wei 's leech was super gigantic! The instructor was mean - made us stand in the leech-infested area and hoped feverently that we would all get bitten! Yr 3s took alot of care of me like helping me remove the leeches from shoes, especially General Cheryl with her packet of salt. The cave was most uncomfortable too, for it was sloped slightly and I felt myself sliding down at night a few times... Rarrr
Headed off to the Tamil primary school the following morning. Woke up super early. Anyway I couldn't sleep much. I was positive I heard something like hyenas somewhere in the night. POSITIVE. The evil laughter, "hahahahahaha" from Lion King, I definitely recognise it anywhere. The Tamil primary school students are super kawaii! They are also extremely polite! Kiat Shing was damn hilarious - he went in and pointed at himself and said, "We, Dunman High". He looked so... Anyway we played games with them, taught them simple English and performed for them... They learnt Chinese quite fast too! Love them...
